Hi Guys. Am searching for a supplier of swing/clip-top bottles, sizes 500ml, 1L & 2L, preferably amber, and preferably round in shape.
Would appreciate any pointers.
Cheers, Geoff Logan.

While not any direct help, last time I was at Brewer's Coop in AK he had these little metal wrap-around 'clips' that turned any bottle into a swing-top. Would likely be too much effort for the amount of bottles a brewery would deal with.
Probably over the top but...

Bottle stoppers
Not much input other than drink heaps of Grolsch and keep the bottles - they do various sizes.
I havnt seen the 1 or 2 litre grolsch bottles but im really keen to get my hands on some.. Anyone know where to get them?
They definately have produced 1.5L and a gimmicky 5L bottle (that's right! 5litre) in the past; I have two of the later; but only 1 x 1.5L.
Oh - and I have nearly 600 x 473ml Grolsch. You can still buy them new (with Grolsch in them) although last year they reduced the size to 450ml. New World, especially those with a good imported beer section, often have them, in 4-packs, at about $15 per 4-pack.
Ask Steve at Hallertau where he gets his - no good for bottle conditioning (not strong enough) but I'm sure whoever supplies him will either have what you need or know where you'd get it.
The grolsch ones are fine for bottle conditioning!
I know - I only meant the Hallertau ones aren't strong enough. I looked ages ago at buying some off Steve but when he checked what they were for he recommended not using them for bottle conditioning.
Hi Geoff,
We were looking at importing some from a German outfit a few years ago - http://www.glastop.de/
They have a great range from 33oml to 5 litre.
At the moment we are using 1 litre clear dimple swing tops for our wine - available from Arthur Holmes ltd. Theyed probably handle a bit of pressure.
You could try contacting Peter Frecklton at Leigh Sawmill Brewing as they bottle in swing tops which I am pretty sure that they also source out of Germany.
Hi Ian. Thanks for that. I'll give him a call.
