just mashed in a brew for the first time since early feb, too many other commitments! ironically my anzac brew features mainly american hops which is very rare in my brewhouse...

Imperial amber:

Gladfield, munich, dark crystal and caraamber. might decide on some cane sugar later but i'll probably wait and see how it ferments.

Bittering with Pacific Jade. simcoe, centennial and cascade towards the end.

colour coming out of the mashtun wasn't quite right so I adjusted it with a pinch of chocolate wheat malt. just hit the boil @ 1.060, should get about 1.075 after 90 mins and another 5 points if I decide to pimp it with some sugar.
Pimp my Amber...
Anyone doing or using anything vaguely Australian to go with ANZAC Day ?
Yeah, my toilet paper.
talking of crap - I'm looking for the Rolf Harris vinyl ... beer match later with the copers
I'm not - but there is a hell of a lot of people brewing this weekend - that's great to see! Looks like the theme is American.

I have this APA mashing right now:

The keg will be coming up to Auckland for a family get together (Poppys first brthday etc) and getting served by hand pump (Thanks Studio). I'll probably carb it naturally in the keg to around 1.5 - 1.8 vols CO2 and cross my fingers that I dont just pump foam.
Nothing Australian, but all NZ hops. This is my 1st attempt at an NZ or US IPA so any feedback gratefully received.
