I cant believe no one else did!

Didn't see the point, since a) I've tried it there, b) any exported product is grey-market goods anyway, so didn't want to go against the wishes of the monks - how's that from an athiest? ;)

If some is coming in, I will have to disagree with Stu, and say that it DOES deserve the rating it gets, but then I've yet to have it from the bottle. I brought back a few for gifts, and only have a 10 and a 12 for myself. Not sure whether/when to open them, and worried they won't compare to the magic which was the on tap version.
I thought the monks didn't allow resale?

BTW (and forgive me for skiting haha) I've got a 6 pack at home. I bought them at the monastery last year. Haven't opened any yet... but very very soon I think.
Need a house guest mate?
I've got a bottle in the cellar too. I had one last year and, to be honest, I thought it was loved more for its lack of availability than the actual beer itself. Perhaps the second bottle will be my epiphany?

Th Mikeller and Stuise beers I've tasted were similarly over-rated (though I have only tried one of each).
I think Stu must be turning into a miserable old bastard!! Mikeller and Stuise over rated Westvletern over rated Pliny over rated what next PKB over rated? HAHAHA!!! At least your honest!!
Under rated for me... Tammy from Aotearoa Breweries (Mata).
Subtle beers that are always absolutely spot on fermentation wise. Hard to make, always nailed.
I'd just love to see them chuck out an NZ IPA or a RIS, I reckon they'd absolutely cane it.

Mad props: MATA!!! Beer from the edge (as opposed to Steinlager Edge... hmmm, I wonder if there are any trademarks there?).
miserable old bastard

Reckon that's a beer name in the making. Yeastie Boys MOB... Nice one Mike!

Trademarking it now.

I loved Pliny. Not over rated.
If you guys didn't notice, Beerstore has got some Westvleteren in stock. Also some Achel.
Have at!
hmmm, I'd pay 36 bucks for WV 12, at least the first time, but I think that's excessive for the 8 and the blond, they are very good beers though if on form. That being said, I'd probably be tempted if I hadn't tried them thoguh...
It's $36 for a Westvleteren Glass, $55-$60 for the beers. I think.
haha, so it is... there must have been a fair few middlemen that needed to be paid off on the way down here:)
Crazy aye, so expensive!! the 3 dudes that got them are lucky bastards!!
