I believe 'diesel' is another term that people get drom Riwaka.

Wanaka Brewski, about 5 years ago, was my number one NZ pilsner by a country mile... it's been a long time though. I can recall it well enough to know that if it was at its best now, it would still be the best. Bohemian influenced rather than German.

Reviled said… - Awesome mate, cheers!! I was lucky enough to do a bottle side by side tasting with Jo, but from what I read in the past few days there is quite the difference in the bottle and tap versions... To me Yakima in the bottle had a lagerish character to it, and an almost crisp finish!!
