YEAH!!! Now this is my kind of beer!!

Pours a beer induced diahorrea, imagine if your diahorrea smelt like this!! Toffeed Marmalade!! Its Viscous, bitter and Sweet, just how I like them loads of malt flavour loads of hops it just giving me loads of beer lovin!! AMEN to that!!
This is the weirdest description I've ever read. the beer looks good though!
Settle down you Wellington guys, some of us are still waiting for the beer to arrive.....
I think over carb'ed them, is that what you mean? Anyway glad you liked it :-)
This kind of shit is why I'm kicking myself for not having been part of the case swap. Think this is one I'll have to steal and brew myself.
Amen Dale... Amen.

Hallelujah Brother.....

What a lovely beer.
As Mike described - I got a massive Marmalade nose with juicy tropical fruit behind it. There was loads of caramel and toffe too. On the palate - it was deliciously cloying... just massive sweetness bursting into juicy fruit chewing gum... mandarin... then the malt kicks in with figgy chew and caramel getting taken over by a well deserved bitterness.

It's one of those bench beers - not sure if I'd be able to get through 30 Liters of it... but the first 10 would be just outstanding. Not because it's bad or anything.. just because of the sheer cloyness of the beer. No suggestions from me for any possible improvement - I liked it just the way it was. The fermentation was very clean - so well brewed Dale.

Cheers.
Nice aroma, good strong floral and fruity NZ hop on the nose, followed by a nice caramel and toasty bread malt backbone.

Malty in flavour - caramel, firmly bitter finish that lingers which balances out the malty sweetness well. Nice dry finish.

Good head and retention too.

It's a nice beer but if I were to brew it I would tone down either the malt or the hops, for me it's like they're both battling for first place but in the process not balancing each other out either. Otherwise great job.

Brew strong brother.
I would tone down either the malt or the hops, for me it's like they're both battling for first place

Let them fight it out!!

It would be like watching boxing!! Letting them Shine would be like match fixing!!
Haha hey, there's nothing wrong with the beer, personally I just think a little adjustment to either the malt or hop bill would let one or the other shine through better, not completely drop out one altogether - that would be match fixing :-P
I'm trying to drink the hoppy beers first and believe this one qualifies for that...:)
ruby-copper, nice head, kinda murky but no floaties just chill haze I think.
malty, hoppy and estery aromas going on here, its got it all! Smells kinda sweet, caramel with some classic NZ hop fruitiness, mmmmmmm this is gonna taste good!
And it does! big chewy malt dominate the flavor with a good amount of fruity hoppiness
Good strong bitterness and appropriate carbonation.

I really like it, very tasty! if I should suggest a change I might move the Riwaka you added @30 forward to 2 minutes before flameout to decrease bitterness slightly and up the hoppiness. imo riwaka is a bit lost back there, its main force is as late addition.
Big Train Dale. Big Train.

As soon as I poured this the aroma and colour just jumped out at me and said Mike Watt, big big heavy bass. Once I knocked off the bottle I realised there was a Nels Cline subtlety to it and this was no Piss Bottle Man. Had to be Big Train.

Needs some work to be perfect (if you ever want that) but as it is shaping one of the best NZ hopped beers I've ever come across. American influenced but very Kiwi. Monk's Habit in a Maori cloak (on that note, I hope you all "heart Te Reo" this week). Pacifica is the sneaky gem in here.

Perfect? No. Alcohol comes through a shade more than it should, it's a bit cloudy, malt is a bit tardy (2nd, 3rd and 5th are the issue I reckon)... but in saying all that I'd be surprised if a beer rates higher for me in this case swap for summing up what homebrew is all about. Mad mad props.
