Wednesday was to be my Belgian brew day, but I'm still waiting for my delivery of Special B and dark liquid candy sugar. So, it will be plan B, a hefeweizen, just in time for Cristmas and summer drinking.

I don't much care for football of any code, but still have a soft spot for the All Blacks.
About the only sport I ever watch now is MotoGP.
Even F1 is a wank these days.
Simple ginger beer recipe experiment with the kids - I've had the recipe for awhile, think the recipe came from the Press

Bread yeast, sugar and water starter

Steep juice and zest of two lemons with one cup of sugar and two teaspoons ginger

Strain into a 1.5 litre bottle, top up and add yeast.

Says it takes anywhere between 12 hours and three days to be ready so it's nice & quick where kids are concerned.

Might have a play with this recipe. Any ginger beer fans out there got tips, tricks or suggestions ?
Make it really strong, helps getting the kids to sleep!
