I am just going to go through the New Zealand beers held on the Ratebeer.com web site and update a few of the details, maybe even retire a few :)

I do have a question.

Southern Gold and Southern Draught, I had a can of the Gold a few weeks ago, was brewed by NZ breweries, yet the Southern Draught is held in the DB section of the RB database. Has the brewing of this beer switched from DB to Lion?

Any futher database changes are also most welcome.

Cheers

One thing that gets to me is that a heap of ratings for Emersons Dunkelweiss are under their Weissbier Dunkel. Two completely different beers (4.8% comapred to 6.3%), also the Weissbier Dunkel is long retired - along with many more listed under Emersons Brewery.
I dont think they should be removed if the brewery no longer makes the beer, I rather liked looking through to see what people brewed in the past...
They are not removed from the database but a "R" is shown next to them as retired. But if they are seasonal beers, makes rating them difficult and can add to duplication.
Updated as "Out Of Buisness" and all beers are retired.
have updated a few more as well.
Who was the Brewer? Carl? was it the Parrot and Jigger?
Beer me records Glen Collier as the brewer. Will need further invistgation
Thanks David

Do you think Emersons will brew their seasonal brews again in the future?
I'l go through the ratings and relocate them to the correct beer, if I can identify which rating belongs to it.
Actually, looking at the ratings now it seems they are all for the 6.3% version.
From memory, Richard told me that Dunkelweiss will be an annual winter release, as will Weizenbock as far as I can tell. APA is dead though :'(
But Chris knows all, seeing as he brews the things.... To delicious perfection!
Should Brewers Bar, be renamed as BOP brewery? The beers will still be called Brewers ......
Beer Legend,

More than happy to answer any questions you may have on "whether Emersons will brew their seasonal beers again".
Best give me an email and you can get it from the horses mouth rather than speculative discussion on the forum. Give
me a PM on this forum and we can provide the information you require.

We too have noticed a couple of issues with raters confusing beer names. The Weissbier Dunkel ratings look okay and going back to 2006 are for the 6.3% version - thats all I can access - The original Dunkel was phased out years ago so recent ratings over the last four or so years should be cool. These should probably be moved to the Dunkelweiss rating however - The DunkelWeiss ratings seem to be all current for the 6.3% version.

We may brew any of the beers in the list at any time, they may come back as mark twos........ this forum often inspires us to review past seasonals/Brewers reserves and potentially line them up again for brewing!

All the best

Chris
