During my most recent foray into BIAB, I realised that my pot is way to small. (It is only 17L)

I saw a 40 Liter pot at Moore Wilson, but they wanted around $145 for it.

Can anyone here recommend a place to get a pot that is around 40L for a reasonable price? Whilst making one out of a keg sounds interesting, I do not find full size kegs as being available very often in Welly. (atleast on trademe.)

Cheers!

Weldless fittings are the way to go with thin pots for sure I wouldnt even bother trying to weld that cheap shit lol :-P
Without having a look at uncle google whats a blichmann?
Chris,

I will try to check Pete's out.

Ideally, I would just go ahead and have a modified keg though. I really think this is the best way for me to go. However, I just cannot find a keg locally for a couple weeks now.

Do you recall if any of the pots at Pete's were 40L?
I dont recall them having volumes marked on them but the biggest one was definatley 35-40l looking!
I have been modifying kegs for a while now but the ones i get are $80 before you start modifying so they can get expensive too!
$80?

I can do that.

Can you suggest where? I would likely need to look for someone's help with the cutting though.
jt im in Titahi Bay
Michael ill see what I can come up with!
I recently bought one of the 30+ litre pots from Hauraki and have made two brews with it (first full wort boil in over 10 years!). I'm quite happy with the pot, though it was on the pricey side at $110 (cheaper than Moore Wilson for sure). My gas stove does struggle a bit getting a good rolling boil, but it seems to have worked ok. I looked around for weeks and finally decided to go with this as I was spending too much time looking around. Just looking for weldless fittings now.
Where do you guys go for your burners??
Hey guys...

After I order a 68.7L pot on trademe, I saw JoKing at Liberty started making pots and bags for BIAB. So, I figured to go ahead and order from him at Liberty.

I have to say, he was really responsive, and quick to deliver. Within hours of making the order, I received confirmation and guidance. Additionally, I received the pot today, and I just ordered it on Saturday! Not bad for having to make the thing!

The only thing I would ask to improve now is when a list is included showing what was ordered, do not put the prices on the list so my wife won't yell at me for spending so much next time. :)

In short, good job JoKing!
Good stuff JoKing, I reckon its awesome that youre selling start up set ups for BIAB and making All grain brewing more accessible in NZ to kit and beginner brewers than it has ever been before!! Just awesome!!!!!
