Hello everyone. This is a bit of an intro post for me but I have been lurking here gathering information since I got into brewing late last year.

I did 1 kit brew followed by about 10 full extracts in a 20l pot and a cheap 3 ring burner. Earlier this year I decided that I wanted greater control so started gaining new equipment.

Here is a breakdown of what went into it

2 x 70l SS stockpots from trademe (~$60 each) Making my boil kettle and HLT

1 x 40l Igloo cooler from Amazon for MLT

Bayou Classic SP10 jet burner and a adjustable pressure regulator to get the old three ring going a bit better also came from Amazon. In Hindsight I would have rather just had 2 SP10 for both the kettle and the HLT. They are perfect in my opinion and much better than mucking around with junky ring burners.

All stainless fittings and camlock quick connects came from this guy:

He was really easy to deal with and all the gear came as described and reasonably quickly

5m of 14x20mm silicon hose from this guy:

It is a really good size because you can easily stretch it over 1/2" thread so you have no flow bottle necks in the system

A March 809 pump completes the brewery (for now) and I got that from Pump Machinery in Auckland which was $315 incl GST

Here is some pictures of it hurriedly assembled (excuse the garage mess, I share it with 2 other blokes.)

Gee those pots and that cooler look familiar...

As I said, many ideas "borrowed" from here :D

Thanks for posting all the details. Starting on something similar myself.
