looks interesting but is it really necessary? mine was made wrapped around a corny and it drops 40 litres from boiling to pitching in under 20 minutes,i couldn't be bothered trying to fold that for an extra few minutes but thats me ;), good luck with it and let us know how it goes if you go through with it.

Looks like it could be pretty expensive too, alot of copper would go into something like that... I still think a whirlpool immersion chiller like Jo's would be more efficient..

True, true. I'm managing to get down to 20deg in just over 10 minutes with the temperature of the water and air these days and I'm not going to spring for the copper when I've already got a working solution but, you know, it's nice to dream. Bigger, better, faster, stronger and all that. :)

It's been kind of bugging me that all my copper coils are sitting one on top of the other which must decrease their efficiency by building up a buffer of cool wort and not allowing the wort to run as freely when I move the IC around or stir the wort in the centre of it.

This is more an exercise in needless excessive fantasy but it was more fun than watching that crap that was on telly last night!

Looks like clover to me - reckon you can do a 4 leaf one ?

good for cooling stout, to be sure.

Looks very cool. Would need to make a pretty clever jig to bend that fella up.

Mate, I'd put it on my wall rather than use it to chill anything... beautiful!
