Hi All,

I'm looking at buying a stir plate and 5L flask, are these what I should be looking at?
flask: http://www.labwarehouse.co.nz/product_info.php?products_id=804
stir plate: http://www.labwarehouse.co.nz/product_info.php?products_id=796

Are these ok prices, or has anyone found better deals elsewhere?

Cheers

I recon you should get 4 flasks and sell them to other people here, 29% is a pretty good saving and $46 is a sharp price.
The stir plate is only 120 in diameter, i think that will be too small for a 5 liter flask. besides you need something with enough grunt to pull 3 liters, or however big a starter you want to do. This may not be big enough but I cant see that specific spec on that website...
If you find good deal on a good stirplate I would like to get in on it. At the moment I am using a home made one, which is a pain and can only pull about 2 liters of fluid.
If there's a bunch of people who want 5L flasks, I'd be happy to get some more, if not I'm not too worried about the price (within reason!) I know bugger all about stir plates and their specs etc, not sure of the best avenue on this one
I've got that flask and that stir plate... pulls well. You need to be a little bit careful placing the flask on there, as it is a fair bit bigger than the stir plate, but it works well. The stirplate comes with two stir bars, and the bigger one gets a good whirlpool going.
awesome, thanks dude, have made the order
