The 809 comes in at 26.4 litres per minute.http://www.marchpump.com/809pl-hs-c/

How much does an actual braumeister cost in NZ? The cheapest I see in the US is $1,950 US for a 20L model. It looks like BIAB on steroids. I wish I could afford to just buy the thing, and never have to worry about stressing my back again. :)

thanks for that info. don't think any one are selling them her yet $2500 in au

my copy makes good beer but when it builds up pressure it sprays all over the place

and only one tun and a pot inside it takes up no room

Your setup looks awesome though!

Maybe you can drop pressures if you use bigger tubing, or make piping that handles more volume?

the pressure builds up under the grain bed and packs the bed. turn off the pump for 5 min and then turn back on and it works , but if i had a mag drive pump it should self reg it self

just emailed march to see if they will sell me some

Do you have a ball valve on the pump output? I can't see from you photos. Then you can throttle that back to control the flow/pressure.

For the pressure/flow pump curves see these links (don't know if you have the 809, 809HS or 815)

the pump is a hot water boost pump and when i put a valve on the out let it sounded like it had gravel in it , wiil not run like that . cheep chinese sh1t

I cant help but think you went wrong at the braumeister, Good but not that good, As for a Mag Drive pump, it will put minimal vacum on the grain bed, but will also build next to no pressure on the head side of the pump due to magnetic slippage. if your worried about vacum on your lauter I reacon you need to install a wort reciver.

If your worried about head pressure and flow than I suggest buying a Mag pump, and or using a pump witch is a good match between flow, impeller speed and output which is kind of the same, oh and impeller type, than speed control it.

have made two beers now and have have very good conversion and the porter one week in is as good as the one made in my old three tun set up

its good to try some thing new and make the brain work

Sorry Donald, got confused between Micheal's post and you calling it a march and the fact you can't see the pump in the picture, is it one of those Temperco pumps from trademe?

i have now put a tempercon MD15R on it and it looks like it is going to work

have only dun a cold run with oat hulls and it worked well
