Just wondering what is the average amount of hops people are using in their IPAs? For the sake of this discussion lets standardize on 6 - 7% ABV and scale to 23L.

I'm averaging 300-350g lately and been a bit underwhelmed with what I have been getting from the hops.

Love that beer and just the type of sweetness I'm talking about, a fair bit of pils malt in there I think.

I think they are adding a tiny bit of Gladdies light crystal.

try below , this was my goto before american ale came along , you could replace the carapi.s with wheat, and consider using american rather then ale but I think Bach is simillar to below as a base.

has that exact residual sweatiness, some like it perhaps more don't

Gladfields Pale                80%
Gladfields Vienna            7%
Gladfields Munich           7%
Gladfileds Cry Light        4%
Carapils                           2%
Acid malt               maybe 150g

looking back at notes I have used up to 7% light crystal but dialed back to 4%   , I must have done 10 different  BIAB ipa,s like this back around 2010-11   I called this beer "2am IPA"  due to a few work night brewing sessions that just went on and on....

use 1272 yeast

Looks good will give that base a try
