Event Description
I've been thinking a lot about how we in the Auckland area can really make a difference for SOBA and I've come to the conclusion that we need to focus on one major theme for the next year. I think that this theme should be getting craft beer into more locations in Auckland. We have a few shining stars (e.g. Galbraith's, Hallertau, Brew on Quay) but very few other bars that even stock one craft beer. This is embarrassing, and I think we can help to change it.
So the next regional SOBA meeting will be focussed on planning how we tackle this. We'll be meeting in one of the best locations in town - Galbraith's Alehouse, so no excuses for not turning up! Let's brainstorm some ideas about how we might get quality beer into more locations in town.

A very big might on my part as I fly out of the country on the 14th, allthough I might be able to sneak away the night before and get out of packing ;o)

Listing myself as a "might" for two reasons. One, I'm not a SOBA member anymore so Martin would be within his rights to reject my RSVP. And two, this year I seem to be spectacularly good at missing every quality event. This would make it 3 from 3 (after Auckland beer fest and last weekends WBC). I think I need to sort out my priorities.

I have been checking the anticompetitive practices section of the Commerce Commission website, i think big brewers might be criminals. And not just because of what they call beer.
