I'm looking to discover some of the history of this brew - I recall drinking it in a pub in Chch a couple of decades ago - the Oxford I think??  On Colombo St just south of the Avon River.

Was discussing beer with a friend a few weeks ago and we recalled it - he had consumed it on the West Coast somewhere. I thought it was imported, but a comment on an Aussie blog (virtually the only online reference to it I could find - there have been some pins sold on Trademe too) said it was made in NZ.

So does anyone recall who made it, where, any stories about its "rise and fall"?

if any one has a recipe let me know

Used to be on tap in Wanganui at the Red Lion Inn. Got an idea it came from New Plymouth. Perhaps Joking would know something.
