Did you paint it black? Did you notice an increase in power consumption?? Read somewhere that painting a fridge black causes like a 30% power increase or some sh*t due to the black absorbing warmth??

 

All that aside, black is definately the best colour in terms of looks!! So wicked looking bro!!

Yup, painted 2K black, got a carpainter to do it for me in their booth.

 

I dunno if there's been an increase in power consumption because I hadn't run it before painting.

 

Something that's black won't absorb warmth from the air.  It will absorb energy as heat because when light hits it it doesn't reflect back as much as a lighter colour.  Sounds like they were pulling your leg mate ;-)

 

It may make it less efficient if was a really thick layer, because it uses the walls to radiate the heat out, but we're talking a few microns thicker than it came from the factory so I doubt there'd be any difference.
