You can get your first taste of this beer at Regionals in Wellington this Friday at 4pm. I had my official taste tonight - the pictured bottle is the first bottle... I might keep it for a while!

As fortune would have it I shall conveniently be at Regionals this Friday night! :D

Is it and English or American styled IPA?

We're getting kegs of it at Hashigo too! Might even beat Regional to it.

Looks good Jo. I'd definitely keep the bottle for while. Shame about the glass though ;-)

Good stuff Jo. I bought bottle #571 from Vic Park New World tonight. Hey looks like I'm gonna beat the official launch by a couple of days...

Jo, what's your recommended temp for this sort of beer?

The alcohol is quite prominant in the aroma, so I'd probably start it off at around 8 degrees - by the time it's up to 16 or so it should be pretty well settled in. Last night, it got quite perfumy as it warmed up - kind of like that thing you get with gavertz wine.

BUGGER!!!!! I had fully planned to secretly come down for the tasting but when I went to fire up my boiler this morning, the recirculating pump crapped out on overload - so now I'm stuck here at work until I sort in out. Sorry to all you fellas who were planning on asking the technical questions.

Damn. Will have to focus on tasting the beer then. :P

P.S There's still time!
