No problem, all taken as constructive critisism. The Citrusy aroma/taste is coming from the Sorachi Ace hops. They give a real pungent lemony character to the beer and I put in loads of them.
I've tried this beer on a couple of occasions and have come to the conclusion that its a well brewed beer. I think the Sorachi Ace hops are too dominant to be used in extreme quantities and that is what muddles the beer giving it a strong lemony, bubblegummy aroma and flavour. The malt profile is delicious, the bitterness is there but not out of balance and the ferment is clean and well attenuated. Cheers for the beer.

I gave all the extras to Tyler but I think it would be interesting to try this in 6 months or so.
Unfortunately this was my last case swap beer, bring on CS7!

I wanted to leave this beer until last since having tasted it fairly fresh, I wanted to see how it had aged. The sorachi is certainly a unique hop, but isnt to my taste in this beer. The 'lemon-fresh' taste dominates and is out of balance with the darker malts IMO. Underneath that I think there is a tasty, chocolatey malty beer, which finishes soft, smooth and clean.

As Haish says Itd be interesting to try down the line to see if the artifical lemon disappates, as it has certainly lost some of that since I tried when farily young. Cheers for the beer, I think I must owe you a couple back since the case swap cost you a speeding ticket!
I thought I'd drunk or given away all of this but 2 nights ago I found a bottle hiding in the garage. I,m going to leave it there for another month or two and see how it comes out. Thanks be to lack of organisation..
