The Hop situation
Just looking at some of the online brew suppliers and notice alot of hops have gone awol, particularly some of the nice imported us ones that I have been wanting to try, Amirillo us Casade Simcoe chinnook..browsing Dunedin Malt House's hop list is apocolyptic! makes you want to just buy whats left and build a hop storage bunker! Liberty, Hauraki and brewers coop still seem to have decent supplies of NZ hops (which I love anyway) and Liberty does have centennial which I will be getting in to.
I thought the us hop harvest would have been around aug/sept so there must still be supplies around? or in the pipeline? joking?

Bugger - have just found out (not sure if I'm outing myself as last to know here) that NZ Hops don't supply direct to homebrewers anymore. There goes my cheap supply of hops... Should have ordered more last time I got some! Guess it'll be Brewers Coop or Liberty from now on.
On a related note, great to see Mike shifting into bigger (4x) premises later this month - obviously this homebrewing thing has caught on a bit. =)

Penrose, somewhere just off Gt Sth Rd I think.
With all that spare space, here's hoping he gets some kegs and a fill-your-own system ala Regionals.....

Yep, can't remember the exact address but somewhere along by Turners there. Moving at the end of the month.
