Hi guys. Been a while since I posted. Just arrived in San Francisco. Got 3 nights here before heading back to NZ. Any recommendation on beer places to go from those who have been here? I'm pretty close to 21st Ammendment so will defo make it there.

Rogue taphouse!!
Toronado!!!!!!!

If you're close to 21A walk down to Market and get the 71 to the Haight. There's a stop maybe 30 meters from the Pub. Make sure and get a sausage from Rosamunds (i think) next door.
You definitely got to hit the Rogue bar - nothing but Rogue and many, many of them! There's also the San Francisco Brewing Company, kind of a neighbourhood brew bar where everyone knows each other. It's on Columbus Ave. I was there last Xmas and it was awesome. Stopped by again in June and the beer seemed a bit stale. But worth a try. And 21st Amendment is a must.
The Toronado (547 Haight San Francisco, CA 94117),

It's an absolute 'must do' for any visiting beer lover.
Monks Kettle is supposed to be good, but still haven't managed to get there. Anchor and Hope was excellent for food and beer combos. 21st Ammendment was sweet, but the the food was pretty average.
I really like Magnolias up in Haight
Realbeer.com has a good list of places to check out...but there's this guy Flynn in the Bay area...bad seed that guy...stay clear of him.
Well I made it out to the Rogue bar last night, after a few bottle of Deshutes beers and Red Tail Ale in the hotel room:

(photos of those beers taken a few days before in Big Sur). We stopped at Cigar Bar on the way - where I downed a few delicious pints of this:

So we made it to Rogue and I had their Brutal Bitter before moving onto a IIPA. Things were pretty hazy by this point!

Hopefully heading out to Toronado tonight!
