I'm all about the mad props at the moment....credit where credit is due!

I'm a shocking grazer when i'm at the pub, i flit from beer to beer, style to style but i had an epic on Friday night at D4 and it was AWESOME!!!

had another....and then another!
three in a row which is crazy for me and then my wife turned up to take me home. Next day i thought 'i need more of these' so to spread the love we went to the malthouse and i had another 3 in a row and shunned all other tasty beverages!

Anyway mad props to Luke :0)

Hey Stu
Dark Caramalt and Caramunich I in KC - there can't be very much colour-wise between those two, so that must be a flavour choice more than anything ?
Yes.
And it means our beer appeals to both the English and the Germans (or those who are a bit of both, like the Windsors - who haven't placed on order yet).
It's all Greek to Phillip though ?
yeah buck your ideas up! ;0)
Seriously though... I might sneak down to D4 at lunch time to check it out.
I'm going to hit D4, for a glass or two of Epic, at 12.30pm if anyone is interested in participating in further mad props.
I already have a lunch date but will be interested to hear the verdict!
Medium props.
Not as good as the one I had a few months back that warranted direct comms to Luke to let him know it was the best I'd had in a while.
But it was still a good way to spend my lunch break.
For me it is at its best when it really oozes malt character. This seems to lift the hops with it.

I was tempted to stick around for a Maresdous Blonde but i have some work to do this afternoon...
I'll second/third/fourth/fifth whatever we're at the mad props. Had some Mayhem at the weekend and it was fantastic. Not just a killer hop aroma and bitterness but a classy smooth malt underpinning the whole thing.

Easily one of the best beers I've had a recent memory and the Pale Ale isn't a slouch in the taste department either
I'm still waiting to get some Mayhem - no joy at New World vic park yet! Just drinking an Epic PA now though, and it's tasting just as good as it always does...
List of Mayhem Outlets - be quick, some of these outlets are already placing orders for more Mayhem even though they know they have all had their allocation. That is just after one week.

I have not been that enamoured with Epic of late. I've been finding the bottle version a touch vegetal. However...

Had a couple of pints at the Newmarket C&B last night, and they were absolutely magnificent! The malt comes out much more than the bottle version, and I thought it even had some chocolate character. Being the big ratebeer fan that you are Luke, you'll be happy to know I have even re-rated ;-)
