Hi all, after quite a long break I have just done an APA.

Its been 14 days in the fermenter but it still has quite a high krausen. Is this a worry at all??

Its been siting at 17c from the beginning, just started to raise it to 19c now.

Hydro sample was quite cloudy too, with lots of white clumps still floating. Am at target gravity now so was expecting the krausen to have dissipated by now.

Tasting is pretty bland to be honest, was expecting more. I stuffed up with the yeast, for some dumb reason I had it in my brain that I needed 2 packs of us-05. As I said it is my first one in quite a while :)

Will do a crash chill in a couple of days, is this advisable for an ale?? say 0-1c?

Cheers for any insight, am loving getting back into it, already planning my next one when this has finished
