Does anyone know of anywhere in NZ that I could buy crushed pale malt?I am looking at a 25kg bag if possible.Or is the only thing to do is buy it whole and put it through the meat mincer?

libertybrewing. co.nz, dunedinmalthouse.co.nz and brewerscoop.co.nz can all supply that for you i think, just choose whichever is closest.
I wouldnt buy a whole sack crushed unless youre going to use it fairly quickly, as in a couple of months max!!

I still reckon for best results crush just before brewing! When its crushed youre exposing all the good stuff to the air.. Think about bread when you leave it on the bench, it goes sort of crusty and still tastes like bread, but not fresh awesome bread - if that makes sense lol
I reckon you should buy uncrushed.

get hold of the other Nelson brewers, borrow or share a mill and crush fresh each time ... like the good Rev said, fresh is best !
Hey, I'm in Nelson have a mill and get some grains from local brewery. So happy to mill for you.
many thanks for the advice.I will buy it uncrushed and get it milled.Dale, I will take you up on your kind offer. My phone number is 5466383, and I am staying in The Wood.Cheers.
