I'd get a cheap pH meter from DSE if I were you

 

This the one you are talking about there Jo, $80 is starting to get a bit excessive  for my budget, guess I need to get into the Hombrew supply game ;-)

Has anyone used this one from Trademe, at $40 I might be able to get away with this one.

I'm sure the $40 one is the same quality of the DSE one... something is better than nothing - and both are a heck of a lot cheaper than a lab quality one at $250 plus.

I also see the Sediment catcher's are only for twist top bottles, limits their usability somewhat
