My knowledge of Wellington is limited - anyone know where I can get one of these
http://craftbrewer.com.au/shop/details.asp?PID=759
without actually ordering it from Oz?
Order from craftbrewer arrived, but forgot about funny connection on the gas manifold
http://craftbrewer.com.au/shop/details.asp?PID=755
(what type of connection is that, and where would it fit into - queue discussion about birds and the beers...)

Try somewhere like ENZED or another hose and fittings place or engineering supplies, for the hose tail, should be easy to find. Bunnings/Mitre10/Placies will have them to but the guys at the specialist shops are more helpful.

Which connection are you talking about? Left or right? Left one is just an end cap. The one on the right? Dunno what the hell's that for. How are you suppling gas to the manifold, if just running a line from the reg then just use a barbed tail.

Just take the manifold with you and trial fit everything there.
Sorry, yeah it's the one on the right - almost looks like a bbq connection. I seem to remember having a look in Mitre10 before and not finding anything like that, but will have another look. Thanks for the tip.

I'll just be putting a barb on it, and running a line to the reg as you say - just thrown by the connection on the gas manifold. Next up, C02 bottle shopping!
If you're just putting a barb on it don't worry about that fitting that's on there, just looks like an adapter from one thread size to another, should be able to find a tail that fits right in without that thing.

Try somewhere like ENZED or something like that, just take the manifold down and let the guys there know what you're trying to do, and they will sort you out. They're way more helpful than the under-paid-kids at the other hardware stores.
Try WR Twig in Lower Hutt they are just under the bridge heading into the hutt from station village
they will def have anything like that!!
That fitting is a flared male gas fitting, probably 3/8" to 1/2" and is designed to attactch to something like this
http://www.aquaknect.com.au/endfittings_gas.htm (female flare fitting)

Useful if you need to detach the line from the manifold regularly, but if you don't, you may as well replace it with the hosetail...
