Does anyone have an APA partial mash receipe they can recommend?

I'm helping a mate to do his first brew and I've talked him out of doing a kit. As he's an American we're looking at an American Pale Ale, using pale liquid extract plus ?? and with some steeping grains. Hoppy of course with Cascade, and possible another US hop, and SO5 yeast.

What do people recommend to supplement the extract to achieve the right body? Simply more extract? or are those enhancers you see in the HBS any good? It's been soooo long since I've done an extract brew....

This is for 23 Litres BTW

I know I'm a bit late in this one but ... I did an extract ale with some cascade a few weeks back.
3kg of Black Rock LME in 20 litres and although the hops stood out and contributed mightily to flavour, I found the body lacking a bit.
I'd do the same hop schedule (everybody has one that suits their taste) again, but add some steeped crystal or a small mash with some munich as well.
It doesn't need to be much to add significantly - 500gm or so of grain should make a big difference

cheers, jt
Thanks JT. We brewed this yesterday with 350gm of steeped crystal as well as 3kg of Black Rock LME.
35 grams sounds perfect to me. What was your hopping rate in the end?
Went with this in the end. Volume is 20L

10 gm Nelson Sauvin (11.4%) 60 min
10 gm NZ Williamette (7.5%) 60 min
20 gm NZ Williamette (7.5%) 20 min
10 gm Nelson Sauvin (11.4%) 10 min
10 gm NZ Williamette (7.5%) 10 min
30 gm Nelson Sauvin (11.4%) 0 min

IBU = 41.5.
