Event Description

--------------Bookings open Weds 5th October----------------

Join consumer affairs commentator and nzbeerblog.com writer Martin Craig and Regional beer specialist Kieran Haslett-Moore for an introduction to tasting beer critically and identifying beer faults, or as we like to think of it ‘the worst beer tasting ever!’ Martin is an experienced judge having judged at the National Homebrew Competition 3 times and for Consumer NZ, while Kieran has judged at both the New Zealand International Beer Awards, the Brewers Guild / BrewNZ competition, the National Homebrew Competition and for Consumer NZ. The tasting will cover the major brewing faults with an explanation of their causes and will present a mixture of ‘spiked’ simulated faulty beers and beers that are actually faulty.
