Decided to go the more expensive route and put plugs on the back, rather than just running leads. It means I can just turn off the fridge without having to shut down the tempmate

hey mate good little unit you made, i'm about to do somthing similar for my next piece of kit. did you get the thermo from trademe? are you gonna run a light bulb or heat pad? i think i'm gonna use a 20W cupboard halogen bulb to heat you reckon that would do it?

Hey Chad, yeah I will just be using a light bulb for my heating, andI am sure that bulb would be fine, I don't think you want anything too excessive in a confined space like a fridge. Light bulbs can put out quite a surprising amount of heat.

I got my unit off Ebay, from this seller, the same one Stu used. It cost me just under $40NZ to get it here.
