Wanting to make a wort chiller and can't decide on how much copper to get.

How long would anyone recommend? It would be for 23L batches.

Around 10 meters is usually enough, but you can get away with less. My counterflow chiller is 8 meters.

+1 10m should do it, 15m even better. My 15m immersion chiller drops a 30l batch to 20C in about 15 minutes.

btw I recommend 1/2" (15mm).. chills well and connect to standard garden hose fitting easily.
