I am thinking of putting a weldless outlet valve on my brew pot.  I am using a gas burner, and am a bit worried that the heat that comes up from underneath the pot from the burner will melt the o-rings on the outside / inside of the weldless fittings.

Has anyone had a good / bad experience with this?

Buy a silicon baking try from Warehouse, Farmers etc and cut your own O-rings / washers out of that.

Thanks - that's a good idea!

what size pot and what size burner are you using? what type of regulator do you have?

50l Chinese pot, hurricane burner with 5psi regulator.
