Hey guys I am thinking ahead and looking at the next step would be kegging..yep!

So what's the scoop, where do I start, and please suggest the cheapest methods for starting. I found this link to Brewshop's start up kit.

http://www.brewshop.co.nz/kegging/kegging-starter-kit.html  If feeling generous maybe I could look at buying from someone here, if they were looking to upgrade their system? hint, hint.

Cheers

Daza.

mate under "General" in the forum I have a issue i would like your opinion on please about Sodium Percarbonate, It is sold as a no rinse sterilizer from Brewshop, and now not so sure?? Cheers.

I will take a pic tomorrow of my setup so you can understand, Its all about getting the balance right you want about 1psi at the tap WHEN ITS FLOWING before any smart ass's chime in and say according to physics it will be what your reg is set at eventually......Yes it will for the split second you open the tap after a few hours. but then the pressure drops to where you want it say oh at a guess 1psi hahahaha..I remember about a year ago now going to the local bottle shop to fill a growler and saw there reg at 30psi and about 500mm of 1/2" line I proceeded to stand there for about 15mins while they tried in vain to pour my fill  without so much foam......After the dust settled i gently told them why two weeks later went back and hello no foam....I use push lock fittings good for 10 bar

You need a fridge for your keg (when pressure carbing the beer needs to be cold) unless you intend to sugar carb you beer warm in the keg.

CO2 cylinders will set you back $280+... but worth if over time compared to Soda-stream adapters. Also check you can fill a CO2 cylinder locally and for how much.

Keep yer eye on TM, used kegs come along for $90 every so often.
