Hi

Has anyone used Gladfield Vienna as a base malt? I'm thinking of using it for a 3.5%ish pale ale along with their Toffee and Gladiator malts as per their recommendation. I plan on hopping with Simcoe and a small amount of Citra to around 25-30 IBU and fermenting with a neutral ale strain. I'm wondering if I should use a small amount of Shepherds Delight to balance the sweetness...

If anyone can share their experiences with these malts that would be sweet.

Cheers

Ben

I have been meaning to brew a Vienna lager...99% Vienna malt and some carapils.. but haven't yet.

I think I will see what you do first... :)

Not sure if I'll manage to fit another brew in this year now so you could be waiting a while for my results.
