Um... the Gladfields may be a bunch fresher? Sorry. Not much help I have not used Gladfields Choc yet.

Gladfields list it at 1200 to 1400 EBC. That's a start in the comparison

According to the Baird website the EBC on their chocolate malt is 1100-1300. Was wondering more if there are any taste differences.

Oh well, sounds like it could be a little fresher and a little lighter. As for taste, don't know, never tried it.
Can't say that I'd notice the difference between 100 EBC, 1200 and 1300' at that level either so I'd go with Ralph's suggestion that freshness would be the difference
