Yeah I like the idea of getting cheap brewing equipment (am trying to build an all grain setup). Apparently a very good video.

I have a copy of it on my external disk.  I've watched it a couple of times and there's some good info in there.  It's all pretty dated now (probably recorded in the early 90s) and the copy I have looks like it was digitised from VHS so the resolution is low and the overall quality is pretty bad, but it's still watchable.

 

When I'm at my desk next (where my external disk is), I'll find somewhere to host it for a little while for you.

Thanks CapitalD, would be very much appreciated if you could do that. 

 

Not too fussed about the quality, so long as it's watchable, I just find it easier to learn from videos than from reading heaps (although of course I do that as well).

Aye I've seen that site but it's the original 1995 version - I have heard there's been a subsequent remake but can't find a copy of it anywhere. That might be the only option though so will probably go with that, have emailed them about shipping.

I bought the DVD last year and found it to be both informative and inspiring. It is a bit dated in terms of the use of Grundy tanks for nearly everything (I don't think they are as readily available any more), but for me it was seeing the way that folks were able to get it to all come together. Sometimes it wasn't pretty, but it certainly did the job.

Ah OK, did it go into the technical stuff like the plumbing and pumps etc? Sounds good.

It's a good broad-strokes overview of things and not super technical. There are some recommendations on particular plumbing bits, but you'd be needing to find equivalent suppliers here in NZ. I've yet to find someone with a *small*, self-priming sanitary stainless pump in NZ that doesn't cost as much as my car (a 1993 Toyota).

That sounds good, I am not super-technical, just interested in commercial brewing and want an alternative to the expensive systems around.
