Hi All,

I know this has been covered a bit in other threads but I am having trouble bending my 1/2" copper tube for my wort chiller. I have had a couple of attempts at doing it by hand and ended up kinking the pipe and having to chop off a length.

Does anybody in Dunedin have a bending spring I could borrow or know where I can purchase one from?

I couldn't find any on TradeMe and nothing at Mitre10 / Bunnings either.

Thanks

Bevan

One trick is you can fill the tubing with water and chuck the whole coil in the freezer - the ice inside will help avoid kinks when you bend it. For really tight bends (at either end of the coil for example) you might still need a bending spring though...

Thanks Oliver, I will give that a try. I have probably lost 3 m from my 15 m coil. Very frustrating.

I have just ordered one. Thanks for the link!
