Hi guys,

A couple of hop-related questions:
- I've got a beer in mind which has a lot of American hops in it (Chinook, Mt. Hood, Centennial, Amarillo). Anyone know where I might lay my hands on some? Last time I looked Hauraki Homebrew didn't stock them.

- do you people tend to use pellets or whole hops, or a mixture of both? Up to now I've only used pellets.

Cheers,

Martin

Ask NZ Hops for their Imports list ?
Nz Hops should have them in 100gram bags, you could also try dunedin malthouse!

I usually use a mixture, i,d rather use just cones, although they dont keep as long, the utilisation is less and imported hops are pellets.
You might have to join the queue ;)

Dennis (Dunedin Malthouse) would be your best bet for some of them, i know he has chinook centennial and amarillo, though not a bucket load. NZ Hops are out of imported and when asked they said "imported hops are going to be hard to get"
Also, Mount Hood is stated on Craftbrewer.com.au as not being available till 2009! so i doubt we will get any here.
Simcoe and columbus are avail tho.
Cheers
Brendan
