Took me awhile to build this bad boy but its a great unit for controlling step mash profiles Ie..pilsners. I got all of the parts from Auber in the USA so really good quality . It has a larger than normal Auber SYL-4342P PID which has ramp soak function different than your normal PID . I have used 25 amp SSR with matched heatsink so it will handle a 4000w element . I have also added a SSVR with rheostat and matched heatsink to control the boil process at a turn of a dial so no more boil overs. It also has pump plug so it can recirculate the wort and maintain mash temps very well . I also added element light so you know when the element is switching on and off . Also added and alarm with buzzer so it will advise you if your over ,under set temps, end of step etc.
