I'm making a wort chiller with 12.7mm copper tube - I've got the coils formed and just need to do 90 deg bends on the input and output without kinking the shit out of it. Anyone got a bending spring or tube bender?
Cheers

Hi there Aidan,

I've not done it myself, but i have heard that if you freeze water into the tubing when you bend it it doesn't crimp as much as the ice holds the integrety of the pipe.

Hi Paul, I've heard that one too but its too big for the freezer. Cheers, Aidan

Hi Aidan  I have both springs and a proper pipe bender for half inch pipe I live at 35 Queens road Nelson but I can drop them off at Evans work place if that is closer for you  cheers Allen Shaw

Hi Allen,

Excellent. I could pop up to your place this evening after 8 or another evening this week and either borrow them or just bring my chiller up and do the bend right there and then. Are you in this evening?

Cheers,

Aidan
