NZ Beer Festival at Ellerslie
Hi folks,
Next Saturday (13th February) the Liquorland NZ Beer Festival will be held at Ellerslie Racecourse, starting at 12pm. I'd already decided to use this as the next SOBA Auckland-area meeting (it even falls on the right day!) but now we have even more reason to go along, as several SOBA members will be helping out on the Brewers Guild stand where they will be serving beers from Renaissance, Emersons, and Yeastie Boys (on handpump), as well as doing beer education events (food & beer matching etc.). There will also be a number of other craft breweries present (as in previous years) including Epic, Tuatara, Harringtons, Waiheke Island, Kaimai and many more.
This festival is definitely moving in the right direction, so I hope many of you will be able to attend. You can buy tickets online at http://www.beerfestival.co.nz/ or at Liquorland stores.
Feel free to just rock up and wander around, but if you want to meet up with other SOBA folks, how about rendezvouing at the Brewers Guild stand at about 2pm?
