January Auckland-area SOBA meeting
Due to the festive season and all it entails I've been rather lax in sending out an update for the next Auckland-area SOBA meeting which is scheduled for this coming Saturday (10th January). The venue is Der Metz, a German restaurant in Kohimarama which serves a range of German beers. Unfortunately I didn't do my research early enough so I've only just discovered that it doesn't open until 6pm on Tues-Sat. I realise that evening meetings don't work as well for some people, so I considered postponing to re-think but I've decided to go ahead.
So could you please let me know ASAP by email (not to the mailing list) whether you plan to attend this coming Saturday. I plan to book a table for 6.30pm.
Apologies for the poor organisation - I resolve to do better for the rest of the year.

DISASTER! I've just rung Der Metz to book a table only to discover that they're closed until the 13th January.
We're running out of time to organise anything else so I think we have to cancel the formal meeting for this month. I will, however, be drowning my sorrows in Galbraiths on Saturday evening at about 6.30pm-ish and you're all welcome to join me!
In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas fo venues for future monthly meetings, please send me an email.
