Hi Team,
I currently building a reflux / gin still. One of the ideas I'm thinking about I would use a butterfly valve. If it sealed correctly it would give me the ability to create a high pressure steam bomb (if I'm really stupid and close it at the same time as another valve), my solution to this problem is to just rip out the seals or file down an edge. The small leak just creates a tiny bit of unnessessary reflux (while vapor infusing gin which is the only time I would ever close it) this is no problem at all. So if anyone has a leeky one, form the bottom of a fermenter or something where the leak is a problem, I would be happy to take it off your hands.
Or is someone has a good one that surplus to requirements make me an offer.
