Harvesting yeast after adding chilli

So I am about to dry chilli a beer in a mesh bag. I'll remove it once I get the right level of character from it.
Would it be ok to harvest the yeast cake or would the chilli character show up in the next beer??

I would rack to secondary before adding the chilli so the yeast is left behind untainted. It might not show up in the next beer but I wouldn't risk it myself.
