Portamarillo is a smokey "imperial sorta-porter" that is made with Tamarillo's, sometimes known as a Tree Tomato, indigenous to New Zealand. The Tamarillos are roasted over Pohutukawa wood, and fermented with Brazilian Rapadura sugar.<br />

We enjoy this brew right after watching it being made on the new Discovery Channel show BrewMasters. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely check it out.<br />
