Yeah James P is your man I did one from that recipe with Sauvin and Cascade it was pretty good but I feel you do have to be patient and lager it properly as early in the piece the caramalt stood out a bit to much for my taste once it had lagered a bit longer it was great.

I recall a good discussion on Hoprocker over a year ago, last time I fired up some lager yeast which was July 2010
James has posted his recipes here, a decent search will turn up his recipe and the discussions

Or, for a more recent version of Hop Rocker, you could try using All lager malt, 10% sugar, and only a pinch of sauvin and cascade at 60 mins for your desired IBU ;o) then maybe 1g of each at 0 mins haha

Last time I had Hop Rover, with Andrew, it was throwing some full on hop aroma. Loads of lime.

lol, I know that I was just taking the piss :oP

I had one the other night with dinner, couldnt pick up much hop aroma but the bitterness was there, was enough to keep me from being unhappy, but not quite enough to make me happy haha

If that's the Andrew Madden from LN then he should have a pretty good idea!!! I would hazard a guess that the last couple of batches are suffering from that "seasonal variance" or they had to use a different hop as they ran out of Cascade again...

One of my receipes is here, good luck! Just get some W34/70 for your yeast it can ferment really cleanly.
