Hello Team.

Just before Xmas I became the proud owner of a 1945 Gaskell & Chambers Dalex Beer Engine. This Beer Engine has been in storage for the past 30 years. It's in original condition - and from what I can tell - is also in sound working order - except for a missing drip tray and 1 ceramic tap head washer.

I have certainly appreciated finding the information on this forum about other Beer Engine restoration projects - and in particular - where to go to find replacement parts.

Although I can bend up a drip tray to get the Engine back to working order - like others I would prefer to get my hands on an original.

The same goes for the Tap Head Ceramic Washer.

The plan is to get the Beer Engine restored and functioning over winter. It is destined to be the feature piece in a Games Room & Bar planned for development later next year.

The only flaw to my plans are that I have little to no experience at brewing my own beer - and in particular brewing Beer that would be suited to the Beer Engine.

So again - thanks for the info contained on this forum and for any further information that anyone can provide regarding the sourcing of the drip tray and tap head washer needed.  Cheers John M.

Contact these guys: http://cfbsonline.co.uk/

They have a huge back catalogue of beer engine bits. If they can't help you I'm not sure who can.
