It looks pretty good, quite thin metal, but it arrived in one piece with a lid (its huge). Iv not used it yet and its away getting a hole drilled for a spigot.
I personally went with SS as i think it will wear better, but thats my opinion.
good luck
Cheers
Brendan

How big is your pot buddy? didnt you get a massive one? Or was it about 40 litres? My pots only 30 litres, and the absolute max I can fit is 28 litres and 4.2kg of grain, and that was pushing it...

Good to hear all went well, isnt it so easy? ;o) I personally found it easier than extract brewing... And way more fun!

Keep up the good work mate! Maybe we should do a case swap some time in the near future?

41 litres aint bad, its better than my 30 litre job, the most I can do is generall 20 litre 5% batches... But after my first batch Ive been itching for a bigger pot... Ive done 7 BIAB's now and am really keen for some bigger beers... I have a mate whos a fabricator making me a 100litre jobbie with a tap :o) Choice!!!

But yeah, interisland case swap could be choice!!! Im definately keen, im starting to get a shitload of beer under my bed and in my shed :oP

Haha, mate at the moment ive probably got about 200-300 litres in bottles... I ran out of beer once and vowed never again, having to pay for beer crippled me!!! The trick is to try and slow the drinking for a little while and stock up, I have four fermenters going at once, and a cube as well, so theres allways a constant flow of beer into the fermenters and into bottles, sometimes it feels like im running a small brewery, but it means ill be able to chill a little more in summer and taste the spills of my labour more haha :oP

If youre looking at brewing ahead, a cube is a really good way, you can do double batches on brew day, store 20 litres in the cube, and put 20 litres in the fermenter, its awesome!!!

And yeah, 100 litres is pretty big, but ill be able to do 50 odd litre batches quite comfortably, and if I want to do smaller ones ive allways still got the 30 litre pot :o) It balances out well...

"Palmer's Lord Crouchbacks Special Bitter recipe next in a fortnight. Mmm, bitter... :D"

It's a simple recipe but tastes great. I used Willamette and Styrian Goldings and had an OG:BU ratio of about 75%
For a real kick, add 1 gm per litre at 1 minute left in the boil - you could even dry hop (but I haven't tried that with this recipe - maybe next time)

Matey...... One fermenter and youre making beer for three people??? I think you need an upgrade big time! At least do yourself a favour and get another fermenter, allthough id suggest at least another 2-3... You can generally pick them up cheap as chips on trade me, 2 of mine were second hand and havnt had any issues after bleaching the shit out of them :o)

I personally dont even think one fermenter is enough for someone making beer for one person, let alone three... :oP lol You would be able to ferment in your carboy, heaps of Americans do...

Havent tried three boys yet, any good? Love Emersons tho...

I dont even bother with a secondary, ive thought about it, but it just seems like way more effort for little result... I get crystal clear beers most of the time anyway after the yeast drops out, and id rather have another beer fermenting than using a secondary... But thats just me.. If i was going to use oak chips or bourbon then id look at a secondary, but I just dont see the point for simple brews...

What was the recipe for your IPA? What hops did you use?
