Comment by Michael van Wijk on November 30, 2011 at 3:20pm What was the custom duties like on that beast?
$17.75 was charged, don't ask me how they calculated that.
The only thing that I can determine is that there was a tax on the NZ parts. Since it was built to order in the US, all power components where NZ 240v.
Comment by Michael van Wijk on November 30, 2011 at 4:00pm That sounds so little, that setup is worth quite a bit. You paid up to the company and it landed with only $17.75 to pay extra here in NZ? Which version of the brewmagic did you get and any reason to choose power over gas?
The money man was shocked also when that was the bill from customs. Its a joint venture with 2 other brewers.
It is still gas, I meant electric as in power setup for pumps etc and it uses an electric RIM's tube for the mash tun. Cant remember of the top of my head the version
