Clone War - Newcastle Brown 16May 2015
Okay: Dunc, who won 3rd place in the Epic Pale Ale clone war, chose Newcastle Brown as the next clone. While I think this is an excellent beer - one I have wanted to try to brew, Dunc's research suggests the beer is actually a blend between two beers: an Old Ale and an Amber Ale.
With this in mind, I would like to know how many of you had planned on brewing this style or if you were agreeable to a change.
The suggestion was to instead brew a SMaSH of any style.

Just an addition to this, the staff at Hallertau were incredibly (and oddly) unhelpful on this occasion. With one particular minion being quite rude, and lying to my face about the time his brewery tour was coming through.
Glad you're alright Barb, we were quite concerned, until the booze kicked in.

Your judging was quite generous too. Were they all that good or am I just mean? Do you want me to mention to Hallertau about the rudeness?
