Hi

Just wanted to know what people think of the height of a weldless whirlpool arm in the kettle.

1/2 way up the boil volume?

Cheers Mark

Sounds about right to me 1/2 way should give you the most whirlpool action and mixing of liquid in the pot (especialy important is your whirlpooling with CF or plate chiller)  with minimal hot side airation (to close to the top and you would get more turbulence at the surface)

I asked this question to Chris banks last week and he recommended 1/3rd of the way up of your typical batch size

Thanks for posting that I'm about to put one in a keggle. The other advantage I can think of for 1\3 up is its below the surface on a 1/2 size brew. It's nice to have the option sometimes.
