Hi all,

In the frustration of having many kegs and not knowing which keg had what without the use of painters tape and a marker pen. I came up with a TAG and APP.

KEGtrak  it can be used to put your beer information on the back (with a white board marker) and reused.

I have been using it from the start of the brew process thru to the Kegging stage.

I then created the APP (Android Only Sorry) was my first attempt at developing an APP, no previous experience.
Combining the APP with the cards enables you to scan the unique QRcode on the card and then store ;

Keg Status - Full  -Empty - Service

Beer Name

Style

OG FG  ( Automatically calculates the ABV)

Brew Date

Keg Date

3 editable fields with Date (Default set to Caustic Wash, Pressure Test and Seal Replacement)

An entry to put Notes about the Beer/Keg

Export the Database via email as a CSV for use in Spreadsheets

Any one who has purchased kegs from me last month will have received a free tag with each Keg.

I would be interested in getting feedback on these tags if possible.

If you would like to get a free tag PM me your address and I will post a Card and Stainless connector to you. I just ask that you give me some feedback on them.

Cheers

can you make one for ios platform? the idea is awesome, saves crappy labels that get wet and run.

Sadly no, was a steep learning curve doing this, apart from that Apple make it difficult as well. Google Play made it easy and helped heaps.

Dump the Apple (Apples belong in a fruit basket) and come over to Android! Galaxy S5 cant beat it.

yea unfortunatley its a work provided phone and we all have to have apples to work with certain gear. I dont really plan on buying my own phone when i have unlimited personal use of my work one. What you have done is an awesome idea and you have done it well

Hi Otto

This sounds an excellent idea, we have loads of kegs and have often thought about something like this, does it work well? any tips would be great.

Cheers Mark.
